Kampot is a riverside village in southern Cambodia, near the former French colonial beach retreat of Kep.
Kampot province has long been famous for the quality of its pepper. During the French colonial era, thousands of acres of the spice were grown there. But under the Khmer Rouge regime in the late 1970s, the province's pepper plantations were uprooted to make way for rice.
We go to the region and buy direct from the farmers, not from NGO's and expats claiming to represent the farmers. So, if you want real pepper direct from the farmers, buy from us - the EU's leading supplier.
