Kampot sits on the east bank of the Kampot River with views across to Bokor Mountain and the Elephant Mountains of Bokor National Park. This part of Cambodia is renowned for producing one of the world's finest peppers.

Kampot Pepper

Kampot Pepper is considered to be one of the best peppers in the world.

Prior to the Cambodian Civil War, no self-respecting French restaurant in Paris would be seen to be without it.

Today, this rare pepper is being produced again by farmers in Cambodia, but only in very small quantities.

With its eucalyptus and menthol aroma, the  flavour can range from intensely spicy to mildly sweet with a hint of flower.
